Foldedsheet develop, design and produce innovative publications that visually ‘map’ information.

In the digital age our range of paper based planning tools and mappazines offer an alternative medium for presenting and documenting data, knowledge, thoughts, ideas, facts, figures and stories.

COMMISSIONS

We work with education, and the art and culture sectors to produce publications that inspire, facilitate and document projects. Recent commissions include an exhibition catalogue for The Photographers’ Gallery, LearnHigher academic year planners, Drawing-a-Day sheets for the University of Brighton and education materials for the Brunei Gallery in London.

CURRENT PUBLICATIONS

Our range of writing / drawing / planning sheets are used to create personal information maps. The sheets become a storehouse of thoughts, ideas, images, notes, memoirs, schemes, lists, experiences, sketches… and more.

Mappazines are editorial design projects on a large scale, loosely themed around journeys, travel and discovery. A collection of articles and essays are published alongside exquisite photography.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

information mapping / sequential narratives / editorial layouts / cartography of the printed page / visual archives

The foldedsheet publications provide a unique visual overview. The presentation of information on one large sheet gives the mind an opportunity to wander. This format promotes new discoveries and connections, without the reliance on memory that page turning or scrolling demands.
